As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the charming decor of the cottage. The furnishings were comfortable and inviting, making it feel like a true home away from home. The general areas of the cottage, such as the lounge, diner, and kitchen, were spacious and well-appointed. Additionally, the property was easily accessible for senior people, with no steep stairs or difficult terrain to navigate. It was a pleasure to relax and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this delightful cottage.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a grab bar in the bathroom. This small addition would provide extra support and safety, especially for those with mobility concerns.

Friendly neighbors and pub clientele. Comfortable beds with spotlessly clean linens. Well-equipped kitchen with enough cutlery and crockery. Convenient off-street parking. Walking distance to pubs, beach, supermarket, chip shop, and homemade jams for sale. Fresh and quiet environment by the sea. Easy access to Sca Fell and short drives to other attractions.
Backyard needs updating, especially for those with dogs. No front gate.

The 2 Bed Cottage With Private Off Street Parking in Haverigg was a cozy little place that made me feel right at home. The bedroom was comfortable, and I loved the private off-street parking.
The only downside, and this is just my personal taste, was that there was only one bathroom fitted with a shower.

Our furry friend settled in quickly, and the off-street parking was convenient. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Plus, the location was great, with pubs, a beach, and a supermarket within walking distance. We even discovered a local house selling delicious homemade jams through an honesty box. a quiet and rural environment with plenty of activities nearby.
The bathroom sink having separate hot and cold water supplies was a bit old-fashioned. It would be better if both hot and cold water were available together.

I always stay in this cottage in Millom. It has everything I need: free parking, an electric kettle, cookware, and a flat-screen TV. The staff even helped me find my lost earring. It's perfect for my holiday with activities like hiking, horseback riding, and golf. No smoking is great too. I keep coming back.

The only thing I would ask for to make this vacation even better for senior people is if the staff could provide assistance with luggage or any heavy items.

What a lovely house - just perfect for what we needed. Hazel was very helpful throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed and couldn't have asked for more. It was clean and tidy and the beds were so comfortable - great sleep every night! We had a great trip and really enjoyed ourselves, spending time with my Mum and Dad who live in Backbarrow. The house made all the difference too. We made some great family memories, sharing experiences with our son that I've done many times over the years up there! Thank you, Hazel!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed hiking nearby, especially when the nearest airport was Isle of Man and Leeds Bradford. The property had a lovely garden and free private parking. The holiday home was spacious with a dining area and seating area. Lake Windermere was just a scenic 43 km away.
Oh, and let's not forget the amazing feature of separate hot and cold water supplies in the bathroom sink. So old-fashioned, it's like taking a trip back in time.
